Maroon 5
I've been listening mostly to the Maroon 5 album and other things like that, because I really like the upbeat and happy type of music that it is and how light it is. Adam Levine has like the prettiest voice, and it makes me want to listen to it over and over (plus he's attractive). The drum beats are always really interesting and keep the beat easy to listen to and leaves me wanting more. They're album is awesome and I could literally listen to it every day. Some times they're songs sound too similar though, which can get annoying, but I listen to such a variety of music that it doesn't bother me too much. Overall Maroon 5 is a great group and is always coming up with new ways to keep me interested.
Elvis' Impact as an Artist and Icon
Elvis Presley was an incredibly important part of history as a rock and roll artist. He not only played rock and roll but successfully mixed it with many genres so he had many songs that were across the board that everyone could like. He was an incredible singer and not to mention extremely good looking (which was also a reason he was so popular and famous. In one performance showed on TV, they didn't show the bottom half of Elvis, but you could hear fans yelling so they kind of left it up to you to decide what he was doing. This is just one particularly good example of how people thought back then that it was risky to be doing those types of dance moves and have certain lyrics in your songs. I personally really like Elvis just because his music and lyrics are really catchy (not to mention he's really nice to look at) and his music just seems so happy to me. I know that a lot of people don't think he's too great but I think his voice is so loud and deep that it just immediately gets my attention. Overall, Elvis made a statement with his music, getting the attention of his many fans to listen to other rock and roll as well which just created a boom in the popularity of it all. So in my personal opinion, I think that Elvis was a great artist just as much as he was an icon.
