Watching the documentary on Woodstock was really interesting to me. This is mostly because I haven't really learned about it before. Watching it though, kind of made me realize that it was a really unorganized, poorly planned thing, that to me was not worth it. I think that there was a giant deal made out of it, and then it didn't seem that great to me. Just think about this: going to a festival really far away, where it was dirty, extremely crowded, fumey and sleep-depriving. That just does not seem like a good time to me. Another problem I had with it were the bands. I didn't know a lot of them and the songs that they did play seemed to last forever, and that was in the comfort of air conditioning and chairs. Plus, can you imagine being rained on in the midst of all this? Not to mention poured? I would have bailed outta there so fast. I guess a lot of the people were just there for the idea and not really all the music they wanted to see. Heck, so many people were so far back that they could probably barely hear. So, in conclusion, Woodstock just would not be my thing. I wish it was cleaner, the songs were shorter and the bands were better.
